About

School's Out Liverpool is a free, independent guide for parents in South Liverpool, run by a local family from Childwall. We gather holiday clubs, after-school classes, weekend sessions and family days out in one place so you don't have to trawl twenty websites.

Listings are free. Some providers pay to be featured, and featured spots are always labelled.

Childcare vouchers & Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free Childcare is a government scheme for working parents: for every £8 you pay into an online childcare account, the government adds £2, up to £2,000 a year per child (£4,000 if disabled), for children up to 11 (17 if disabled). It can only be used with registered childcare providers, such as many Ofsted-registered holiday and after-school clubs.

Childcare vouchers are an older employer scheme that closed to new joiners in October 2018; if you already have them, you can keep using them with registered providers.

HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) offers free holiday places with a meal for children on benefits-related free school meals.

We only show a ✅ badge where the provider (or an official directory) says clearly that they accept a scheme. Everyone else may still accept them, so please ask. Full details and eligibility: gov.uk Tax-Free Childcare.
